For the first time in Montreal, coming directly from Congo Brazzaville, Dalie Dandala is preparing to offer an exceptional concert on February 2, 2025, at Club Balattou. This will be an opportunity to discover her vibrant repertoire, blending traditional influences with modern sounds. A versatile artist, she is a singer, songwriter, dancer, percussionist, and actress. At the age of 10, she discovered music and theater within the choir of the Evangelical Church of Congo before broadening her horizons in the William Branham Church choir. Trained by the Musée Company, she honed her skills in percussion and folk dance. Over the years, she has collaborated with prominent names in Congolese music, such as Zao, Oupta, and Chervi Gambo.
Lerie Sankofa (Côte d’Ivoire) – 6 Février 2025 – Club Balattou
Lerie Sankofa will offer her very first concert in Montreal at Club Balattou on February 6, 2025. Lerie is an Ivorian musician whose musical journey began at the age of 9. Introduced to percussion, she embarked on a musical journey that led her to master this art and singing. She later refined her skills in singing and percussion at the National Institute of Arts and Cultural Action (INSAAC). She shone at the IXth Francophonie Games, winning the bronze medal in the song category, delivering a memorable performance that captivated both the audience and the judges. Her first album is about to be released, and her African cultural center for promoting art & culture, Sankofart Sum, reflects her commitment to transmitting her knowledge and supporting the Ivorian artistic scene.

Madou Sidiki Diabaté : Hommage à Toumani Diabaté (Mali) – 14 Février 2025 – Le Gesù
On February 14, Madou Sidiki Diabaté will pay a special tribute to his brother Toumani Diabaté with an exclusive concert at Gesù in Montreal. This concert will be a memorable evening for lovers of the Kora, a 21-string African harp. Toumani Diabaté was one of the greatest masters of this West African traditional instrument and a global ambassador of Malian music. A true legend, he was able to fuse the musical tradition of his griot heritage with modern influences, thus marking the history of world music.
Born in Bamako in the 1980s, Mamadou Sidiki Diabaté (known as Madou) is a Malian griot from a prestigious lineage of musicians, including his parents Sidiki Diabaté and Mariam Kouyaté, as well as his brother Toumani Diabaté. At a young age, he began learning the Kora and Tamani, and in 1991, he opened for his parents at the Africolor festival in Paris, thus launching his career. Trained at the National Institute of Arts in Bamako (INA), Madou has collaborated with artists such as Salif Keita, Kandia Kouyaté, and Babani Kone. He is also known for founding his group Madou Sidiki & the Manding Griot Groove in 2013. Samba Touré (Mali) – 28 Février 2025 – Club Balattou
Malian bluesman Samba Touré is the protégé of the legendary Ali Farka Touré. Overflowing with energy, his music perpetuates the legacy of the blues. Fascinated by the mix of traditional Malian music and North American blues, the artist, singer, and songwriter developed his own style. Samba’s lyrics convey moral messages and introduce us to various aspects of Malian culture. He dedicates his songs of homage, dignity, and respect, infused with compassion and good-humored humor, to those who are often forgotten or overlooked. While inspired by Malian society, the message of his album carries universal significance.
