DJELY TAPA | Single Le sais-tu ?
Disques Nuits d'Afrique / Believe / Djely Tapa / Musicaction
A TRIBUTE TO WOMEN AROUND THE WORLD
With her single Le sais-tu?, which means ‘Do you know?’, Djely Tapa reaffirms her commitment to using her art as a lever for change.
With this title she delivers a direct, clear and powerful message that resonates here and everywhere, for yesterday and tomorrow.
She takes us as witnesses, Le sais-tu? and brings to our consciousness the urgency of informing, telling, denouncing and acting in the face of discrimination and violence against women throughout the world. A source of inspiration for present and future generations, it calls for unconditional solidarity and for a profound change in outlook and society.
This powerful and militant track offers subtle electronic arrangements that perfectly support the Mandinka melodies and the ardour of the singer of Malian origin.
The piece is composed and directed by Jean Massicotte (Lhasa de Sela, Arthur H, etc.), an award-winning producer with whom their artistic complicity has been growing ever since their first collaboration on Djely Tapa’s Biriko Spirit in 2020.
