Every conversation in Senegal begins and ends with the word ”Diam” (peace). We want peace for our country, our continent. ”Peace in Africa” is a call for unity, union and peace in Africa.

Musically, ”Peace in Africa” is a celebration of the mix of old and new sounds with a vibrant electro influence from DJ Boddhi Satva, combined with a guitar playing African melodies.

About the video that accompanies the song, the colour white is everywhere in the video, from the wardrobe to the various scenes and props including the white roses and the white bathtub and its contents, all to represent the simplicity, humility, and peace that we dream of for Africa. The scenes around the fire represent a reminder that in Africa, fire was used by ancestors during social gatherings and still is today in many communities. It also symbolises rebirth, an instrument of change.
