Voyager, Boubé’s first EP, is an invitation to travel. The multi-instrumentalist offers an indomitable, powerful and sensitive desert blues. The catchy Afro-rock tracks speak of love, sharing and encounters, underlining the fact that music allows for rich exchanges. A former protégé of Mdou Moctar and Bombino, Boubé shows the full extent of his talent with this first project to be distributed worldwide.

Composed in Niger before Boubé moved to Quebec, Voyager’s extraordinarily mature tracks immerse listeners in the desert atmosphere and Tamasheq culture of the artist. Recorded thanks to the prize Boubé received when he won the Syli d’argent at the Syli d’Or de la musique du monde, this EP is the result of Boubé’s meeting with Quebec musicians, especially Vincent Duhaime-Perreault, who played a major role in bringing this project to fruition, symbolizing the artist’s goals of building bridges, sharing and living together.

An authentic representative of the Tuareg scene, Boubé enriches Montreal’s musical mosaic and will present Voyager at a major launch concert to be held at Club Balattou on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
