SHAHRZAD AND HER LATIN-ORIENTAL BAND

As an outstanding pianist with a passionate smile as she moves between rhythms, a singer with a warm, sultry cabaret-style voice and an enchanting belly dancer, Shahrzad has unequivocally made her mark, winning Syli Bronze at this 17th edition of the Syli d’or de la musique du monde. “Only in Montreal will you get a Latin jazz band led by an Iranian musician!” (Le Devoir, 2024). Jazz, Latin jazz, Latino-Oriental pop… Delivering Persian music with Cuban influences and backed by highly gifted musicians,  Shahrzad doesn’t fit into any mould except the one she has created herself, which makes her all the more intriguing.

The legendary Club Balattou, and all its team, is happy to welcome you, with the “Cabaret acoustique Nuits d’Afrique”.
