NOÉ LIRA
NOÉ LIRA
“A colourful, pluralistic universe, infused with Latin rhythms and exalting poetry in three languages” (Radio-Canada, 2022). Noé Lira wears several hats that befit her perfectly. Singer-songwriter, accordionist, actress, activist, dancer all at once, this Quebec-Mexican artist describes her music as “engaged, theatrical and explosive.” Along with percussionist Doriane Fabreg, keyboardist Catherine Lemay and cellist Juliette Malgrange, this Révélation Radio-Canada 2022–2023 embraces her environmentalism, feminism and sense of solidarity with humour, which is expressed in her lyrics as well as the rhythm and sound arrangements she chooses. Her first album, Latiendo la tierra (2021), earned her several nominations, notably at ADISQ and Latin Music Awards Canada.
