Ménodji Clarisse, nicknamed Melodji, is a leading figure in contemporary Chadian music, renowned for her powerful, moving voice. She discovered her passion for music as a child, influenced by her mother and aunts. In 2001, she founded the group Matania, with whom she won several awards, including a gold medal at the CEN-SAD games in 2007. Melodji went solo, expanding her horizons in Europe and the United States, then in Canada. His first album, “Ta horndal”, was released in 2013, followed by “Minoh” in 2023, illustrating his artistic evolution. Melodji explores various musical genres and tackles social themes such as love and peace. Self-taught, she has also trained in Côte d’Ivoire and Lyon, reinforcing her status as an ambassador of Chadian culture.
