Mariusca La Slameuse, real name Mariusca MOUKENGUE, is a Congolese slam artist, poet, actress, slam trainer and lawyer. She is the director of the SLAMOUV international festival and one of the standard-bearers of slam in Congo.

Committed to and inspired by the powerful female figures of Michelle Obama, Kimpa Vita, Angélique KIDJO and Oprah, she stands out for her incisive, humanist lyrics.

Among the many awards she has received, in October 2022 she was awarded the PRINCE CLAUS FUND PRIZE by the Dutch royalty in the Netherlands, in recognition of her cultural commitment to communities. Her commitment to the cause of children’s rights in the Congo has earned her the title of UNICEF Congo Ambassador for Children’s Rights.
