Mamadou Koïta is a great singer, author and composer.

Born in Africa in Burkina Faso, he is a Griot virtuoso of the Balafon, a cheerful percussionist, a wild djembe player, an amazing Tama player, Barra, N’Goni, and much more…

He was born in the musical universe of the Bwaba ethnic group. From an early age, he learned to play the balafon with his father, who was himself a balafon maker and great player.

Today, he knew how to adapt his art and evolve according to his desires to make us vibrate with the Afro-Fusion style. Wiggle guaranteed!

Since he can play, Mamadou has participated in thousands of shows, festivals and scenes around the world and in all different contexts to make us dance! Including many times right here in Quebec!

Tonight, he will be accompanied by Sylvain Plante on drums and Carlo Birri on bass for his Troupe Balafola. So without further ado, we leave you in the hands of this Grand Master of the scene: Mamadou Koïta and his troupe Balafola!
