LES FRÈRES SISSOKHO

A concert by the Frères Sissokho is a joyful reunion to the rhythms of the djembe, dundun and kora, to which everyone is invited. A bit of sabar here, of mbalax there… it’s all about singing, dancing, and improvising against a backdrop of traditions handed down from generation to generation. Come and join in the fun and laughter! You will be able to almost smell the steaming hot tiep fare and taste the refreshing hibiscus drink, the traditional jus de bissap, and simply appreciate beautiful moments as the kora works its magic alongside the mesmerizing rhythms of the talking drum. There is no mistaking it, the Sissokho brothers are griots. Their  roots run deep and they are keenly aware of the need to preserve their heritage, which allows them to explore the music in all its dimensions without getting lost.

The legendary Club Balattou, and all its team, is happy to welcome you, with the “Cabaret acoustique Nuits d’Afrique”.
It is a whole program that awaits you, especially concocted for the public! You will be able to enjoy live performances every week, from Thursday to Sunday, at 9pm. A musical rendez-vous, which makes you travel through Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, not to be missed !
