From February 13 to April 25, 2024, every Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:30pm at the Club Balattou, you can participate to the selection of the 9 bands ‘’Coup de coeur’’ who will be send in semi-finales !

▷ GABRIEL SCHWARTZ – FOLK BOSSA| Folk, Bossa Nova (Brazil)
Gabriel Schwartz’s new project titled Folk-Bossa is based on the idea of merging folk music and bossa nova. The desire to go towards folk music is an attempt to make the link between the cultures of Brazil and that of North America, in particular that of bossa nova and folk music. The trio is formed by Gabriel Schwartz, multi-instrumentalist (on flute, sax, percussion, 8-string guitar, voice and loop station), with the collaboration of Dominique Poirier on accordion and Bianca Rocha on voice and percussion. The trio invites the public to travel on the traditional culture present in the repertoire of Brazilian, French and English songs.

Born in Haiti to a Christian family of 6 children, Modeline has always been immersed in a musical environment. From the age of 5, she was already singing the choruses she heard on TV.
At the age of 18, she composed her first song, which inspired her passion for music and was a way for her to overcome her shyness. Modeline sings about love with a capital “A”. But she readily admits that it is first and foremost a sentiment aimed at women who suffer around the world because they are women… Particularly in Haiti, her country of origin.
Her fight is for the rights of women to exist fully, whatever their society, religion or philosophy. Her musical styles are Afro pop and Kompa. She works in the field of health. Minuit Chrétien, Lanmou PI fò and Enkonple are Modeline tracks available on her platforms.

Be part of the adventure: attend as many concerts as you want for free and rate your favourite artists each night. You will be invited to fill out an evaluation form, it is important to EVALUATE THE TWO PERFORMANCES of the evening and attend the three performances.
