Joyful, sensual, lively and fun, forró has been part of Lara Klaus’s world since childhood. The singer and multi-instrumentalist was born in Recife, in Northeastern Brazil, the region where this traditional and festive style of music and dance first emerged. Always dazzling, Klaus embodies its spirit perfectly. Forró de Lá, which includes fellow Brazilians and passionate virtuoso musicians, Rodrigo Simões and Gabriel Schwartz, delivers with warmth and conviction the rapid tempos of baião, arrasta pé and xote, those irresistible rhythmic variations that make up forró music, which was popularized by Luiz Gonzaga, or Dominguinhos.
