ARMAND LAKLASS & le KGB

Born into a religious family, young Armand Laklass soon began to flirt with singing through the choir his parents trained him in.

A bright young pupil, it was in 1996 that he was noticed by Richard EBOA aka “Jabbar Bass”, a highly respected young bass player. Armand Laklass joined his school’s orchestra, and a few years later became the star of every school concert in Douala.

His intense love of music led him to perform tracks by such great artists as KOFFI OLOMIDE, TOM YOMS, DOULEUR, EBOA LOTTIN, BEN DECCA, KOTTO BASS, BELKA TOBIS and many others.

His encounters with the music of Richard BONA and Etienne MBAPPE led him to broaden his musical range and open up to other singing techniques and music from elsewhere.
