AMIRA LIZA

Amira Liza is a young Algerian-born singer from Montreal. This multidisciplinary artist is devoted to all forms of expression. A chef one day, a singer the next, Amira is also a theatre and dance enthusiast. Stage performance is something that has followed her from a very young age. Very early on, she felt the need and inspiration to share her perception of life. She chose to play with various hip-hop, jazz, Andalusian and soul sounds and influences to compose her songs.

Amira picked up a guitar for the first time during a weary summer at the age of 14. With barely enough time to learn two Beatles songs, she felt the need to compose her own original songs. And that’s how her identity as a singer-songwriter came to life. 

At the age of 16, her life took a slight turn for the worse when she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. This new autoimmune condition was shattering, but certainly a trigger. The unpredictability of life influenced the young artist to believe in the impossible and, above all, in her dreams. It was at this point that music took on a leading role for the young woman. Since then, she has explored her style and discovered her artistic identity through several musical collaborations. Amira will show us her world.
