African Guitar Spirit is a collective of musicians based in Montreal. This trio of artists is composed of Sadio Sissokho (Senegal) on percussion and voice, Carlo Birri on bass and Gotta Lago (Ivory Coast) on guitar and voice. African Guitar Spirit, recipient of the 6th Cultural Diversity Award in 2015, fuses African music with blues and jazz, with an urban flavor slipped into all these sounds. The artists are true explorers, with the spirit of performance in their DNA, the three musicians amaze each performance with their expertise.
