Pulkes is an Israeli band from Jerusalem, active since 2017, combining Mediterranean, African and Western rhythms, all with a clear purpose: to make people dance and move.

After starting their careers at the music school “Music and Silence” in Jerusalem, under the direction of Eyal Talmudi, the group quickly decided to play music from very different regions of the world, and has gained some fame by playing in many festivals around the world – indie-Negev, autumn sounds, Tower of David, Expo 2020 festival in Budapest…

The group is made up of seven of the country’s best wind and string instruments players with a wealth of stage experience and musical knowledge and inspiration that complement each other perfectly to offer a truly international show. 

One thing is certain: Pulkes offers a show that leaves no room for indifference, taking listeners on an intoxicating Balkan journey, covering a variety of genres from Afrobeats to Eastern European melodies.
