Mopao mumu was born in congo inshasa, where she spent her early childhood before moving to south africa. As a young child, she began to sing in choirs and acquired a taste for writing poetry and later on songs. Her musical education began with classical music before spreading to contemporary music from the African continent as well as the rest of the globe. In her musical journey, she explores and combines the various styles she grew up to.
Indeed since October of 2020 Mopao Mumu took the decision to launch her career by presenting her first single Take Me where she mixes the styles Saoul R&B with an African touch, which gives an alternative style. She is equally at ease in French, English and in her native language Lingala.
