BIOGRAPHY

After just two albums, this 360 artist has scored huge on listening platforms. The singer’s

first album, Semente de Peixe, released in 2021 under the group name Kirá e a Ribanceira,

accumulated 50 million listens by the following year, and included two hits that

foreshadowed Kirá’s meteroric rise: “Dia de Feira” and “Mar Mangão.” This love for his rich

lyrics and addictive melodies continued into 2023 after he released his second album, Olho

Açude.

Dominating Kirá’s orbit is the poetic imagination of this young Brazilian from the northeastern

part of the country who has bonded with the mellow sound and mystique of acoustics.

Instilled with the proud folk tradition of his South American homeland of the '70s, this

composer-producer blends a cocktail of influences flavoured with cumbia and bolero as well

as rare and distinctive rhythms of folk music and dance from the Baião region, the

carnivalesque Maracatu and the sensual Carimbó. The singer's irresistible Latin salsa style

brings out the best in his songs. And this recipe sets the audience on fire with every

performance!

Sensitive to life and beauty, Kirá takes his time as he praises his homeland’s earthly

character. His strength lies in combining his verses with sublime souls to produce such gems

as “Violeta,” by the light of the moon, while, with “Interlândia,” the singer dreamily crosses

the threshold into joyful abandon. As if to create his own microcosm, he goes from the most

intimate to the exuberance of Brazil’s huge festivals. A lover of nature, he sets the décor of

his art within this immense cultural landscape, on land and sea, for the pure pleasure of the

senses. A soothing musical discovery, driven by youth and set to a timeless melody for the

son of Manu Chao…
