Guasá Guarriors is the result of the encounter between DJ-Producer Dani Rodriguez aka Guasá and bright musicians crazy about world afrobeat and Montreal’s diversity.
Inspired by crossed rhythms from African diasporas, specially Colombian Pacific music, their madness ignites on deep contact with territories, to share a global vision of afroandean rumba.
Dani Rodriguez is a selector and producer inspired by world folk & bass, always looking for the perfect rumba. He discovered Andean and Pacific music in Cali, where he grew up, and came later to Montreal where Guasa Guarriors took form as an expression of diversity empowered by roots music. He Is behind the creation of experiences as in experiences as Afrodiziac (2017), In-dependencia (since 2017) Carnaval Africolombia (since 2028), Village Afrocolombia (since 2020).
