Already known under the name, Mugisho Munganga, his voice embraces the new Afro sound that is gaining ground… Overflowing with creativity, he has been singing since the age of 15; and he isn’t interested in just doing Afropop, R&B, reggae and pop tunes, he mixes and kneads them into new forms, like R&Fro and Popfro! This tendency towards fusion is somewhat of a Congolese tradition, which Aeli-G proudly showed off on stage in Saskatoon in 2016. His philosophy: be a musical all-rounder and send a shockwave through the audience. A born musician, this young artist strives for universality. He’s quite the charmer as well and comes across as a kind of postmodern “dandy” on his videos. His single “TE TE,” released last year, definitely reveals him to be a romantic.
