Singing in Malinke and Wolof, he thrives on encounters that shape his journey, perpetually learning and sharing. Flamenco’s improvisations intertwine with the fluid, crystalline tones of the kora in his latest project, culminating in the album “Kora Flamenca.” Zal Sissokho, the virtuoso Montreal griot of the majestic 21-stringed instrument, surprises with a blend where “the exchange flows effortlessly.” His voice remains as cool and rhythmically swaying as if he were singing Mandingue blues, resulting in a captivating beauty (La Presse, 2020).
