In 2016, Meiway closed Festival Nuits d’Afrique with a concert that is still remembered as one of the most exhilarating shows ever. So, get out your white handkerchiefs—an essential accessory when dancing to Zoblazo, the musical style that he developed over 30 years ago by blending rhythms from across Côte d’Ivoire and incorporating folkloric elements with a modern twist. This natural showman will be returning again this year with that same level audacity, energy and humour for which he is famous. “To be sure, the father of Zoblazo is a versatile musician with impeccable style and choreographies.
