The Burning BRASs Band is a feminist brass and percussion band based in Montreal and in operation since the summer of 2022. Composed exclusively of a dozen women and gender diverse people, this artistic project’s mission is to increase the place of women, trans, non-binary and queer people on the local music scene.

Through this project, the group wishes to spread the word about brass band music, a style that is not well known in Quebec and Canada and that originally appeared in the streets. The brass band style, which can be New Orleans or British, is composed of a musical ensemble, composed exclusively of brass and percussion.

CABARET ACOUSTIQUE NUITS D’AFRIQUE – at the Club Balattou

The legendary Club Balattou, and all its team, is happy to welcome you, with the “Cabaret acoustique Nuits d’Afrique”.
It is a whole program that awaits you, especially concocted for the public! You will be able to enjoy live performances every week, from Thursday to Sunday, at 9pm. A musical rendez-vous, which makes you travel through Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, not to be missed !
