Discover the wonderful and unique musical instruments whether they be lesser known such as the Kora, the Geumbri, the N'goni, the Balafon, and the N'kuu, Latin or West African percussion instruments they will be explained in a fun and interactive atmosphere. All of these workshops will be hosted by professional musicians.
You may also learn about other facets of African culture and its diaspora by attending the various storytelling events - uncover the meaning behind African masks, or learn about gumboot and its origins.
And for the first time, an interactive terminal will be gracing the festival site by allowing visitors access to the festival programming, information about workshops, activities of L'Agorafrique Loto Quebec, and everything you would need to know about the Festival International Nuits d'Afrique 2010.

Isaac Neto (Brazil): utilizes his guitar in a unique percussive style combining a resonating harmony with rich musical arrangements, Isaac brings to the world a new musical form while displaying great artistry and originality.
Diely Mory Tounkara (Mali): the undisputed master of the kora, his knowledge of traditional Mandingo pieces runs very deep and his compositions are a genius with the ability to affect people of all backgrounds from coast to coast.
Azzedine Maghrabi (Algeria): Singer-songwriter and performer, this multi-talented artist and Oud virtuoso holds more than sixteen albums under his credit. Charming and charismatic, Maghrabi offers soothing melodies for the heart and instructions for the soul.
