Description of the concert:

With a voice smooth, intense and a little sweet, Patricia Cano is an artist mature beyond her years, and incredible to behold. Her highly anticipated debut album THIS IS THE NEW WORLD is influenced by traditional South American folk forms, including Samba and Afro-Peruvian rhythms, and driven by the groove of Jazz, the soul of Folk and Blues.

Patricia will be accompanied by her Brazilian collaborator, Carlos Bernardo, as well as three exceptional musicians from the Canadian jazz / latin jazz scene

Biography of the artist:

Patricia Cano was born in Sudbury, where she began her career on stage as a young dancer, and later, as a community theatre player. After studies in Theater and Spanish Literature at the University of Toronto, she embraced the career of traveling artist, first with Tomson Highway, the Cree writer and composer, then with le Théâtre du Soleil.
