Africa is famous for the variety of its beats, and Meiway, the dance floor king, has something to do with this. For 30 years, he has appeared on stages around the world, performing his famous zoblazo, which he created from varied tempi from the south of Côte d'Ivoire, also incorporating sounds from elsewhere. People dance to zoblazo with a white handkerchief, as a sign of joy and purity. It’s quite the show!

Biography of the artist:
Frédéric Ehui Désiré, alias Meiway, was born in Côte d’Ivoire in 1962. Today he is a musician, composer, performer, arrange, producer and, above all, inventor of zoblazo, a musical style famous on every African dance floor. But let’s go back to the beginning.
