The muffled beating of a calabash, a delicate harmonica, a spellbinding Peul flute, fine vocal polyphony lulled by the nuanced chords of a dry guitar…. The soft folk of the Guissé Brothers, accented by Sahel blues, is as burning hot as the Fouta, their region of origin, rich with the blended influence of Peul nomads and the many communities living at the edge of the Senegal River, near the borders with Mali and Mauritania.

Djiby, Cheikh and Alioune: three brothers, three talents, three personalities, who have come together for the best of Senegalese Peul music.
