Description of the concert:

There are 14 of them, but they perform as one. They are all from Coronthie, a humble neighbourhood in Conakry, and 10 years ago they became true stars in Guinea. Their melodies are on everyone’s lips and ring out in every public place. Their music brings people together. Relying solely on traditional instruments and three outstanding voices, they sing of everyday life and of love.

Coronthie is the name of a district in Conakry, the Guinean capital, the oldest, poorest and most densely populated part of the city. Les Espoirs de Coronthie come from there.
