Son, salsa, cha cha cha, rumba, timba – Cuban musical styles are festive and sensual. They dance, lure and regale. They celebrate love and life. Giovany Arteaga and his group, consisting of Montreal’s top young Cuban artists, lie at the heart of a maelstrom of hot beats, fuelled by triumphant brass instruments and spellbinding percussions.

Biography of the artist:

The Cuban connection was established in 2007 by the young and talented saxophonist, Giovany Arteaga. After completing his BA at the University of Montreal in performing Jazz, Giovany returns to his hometown of Havana, the hub of music in Cuba.
