Fafadi, a child of the Casamance, a region long torn by conflicts over independence, stands up for peace and brotherhood among peoples. A representative of the new African reggae scene, which claims and celebrates its origins, Fafadi, who has collaborated with Touré Kunda and Positive Black Soul, sings in English, French, Creole and Wolof.

Biography of the artist:

Fafadi was born 35 years ago in Ziguinchor, in the Casamance region of southwest Senegal. He began to sing at age 9, encouraged by his mother and by his brothers and sisters. He very soon developed a passion for reggae. This English-speaking movement, advocating tolerance, peace and openness to other cultures, deeply influenced Fafadi.
