Back home in Niger after being forced into exile when two of his musicians were assassinated by the military there, he sent powerful riffs and hypnotic improvisations blaring from his electric guitar during a memorable concert at the foot of the Great Mosque of Agadez. Biography of the artist:
Bombino, whose real name is Goumar Almoctar, was born in 1980 in Tidène, Niger, a Touareg settlement northeast of Agadez.
