Celine Vincent

Sénégal et France

Biography :

The Franco-Senegalese Celine Vincent plays the guitar and the trumpet to offer us a trip while emotion. Miscegenation planted in the heart, Céline Vincent is carried by the waters of the Seine and those of the Senegal River. She is sensitive to two levels of language that are the root of her artistic process. Inspired by the Wolof language ( witch she does not understand) where the rhythm of words leads to dancing. She also relies on the French language around which her reason becomes obvious, and captures reality with more accuracy. Céline Vincent is a fan of improvisation and that's where her song takes its raw emotion. Her art is her life and her life is her art, her lyrics and music is thus suspended between the abstract and the concrete. Celine Vincent just finished recording a mini-album (five titles) with the director and cons-bassist Erik West-Millette (Bia, Mary Jo Thério, Thomas Hellman) and (among others) guitarist Jean-Marc Hebert.
